When should I start planning for these services?
As soon as possible. We never know when to expect a life changing event to occur to ourselves or a family member. There is no charge to name us as your Financial and/or Healthcare Power of Attorney or Successor Trustee in the event that it is needed.

The Sun Valley Group, Inc. was incorporated in January of 1997.
How can a Fiduciary help me with my family member?
A Fiduciary can serve to provide protection for an individual that is unable to make sound decisions regarding their finances and/or mental or physical well-being. We can also provide financial services on a private basis such as organizing financial information.
Who can be a Professional Fiduciary?
In the State of Arizona you must be licensed to be a Professional Fiduciary. In addition, our staff are Registered Guardians through the National Guardianship Foundation, members of the Arizona Fiduciary Association and Associate Members of 2 Arizona State Bar Sections.
What are the advantages of hiring a Licensed Fiduciary opposed to using a family member?
A Licensed Fiduciary is licensed and bonded through by the state to act in a fiduciary capacity; this will protect the individual against misappropriation of their assets.
What is a Guardian?
A Guardian is a person or company appointed by the court to ensure that the personal and medical needs of the incapacitated person are met.
What is a Conservator? A Conservator is a person or company appointed by the court to manage the financial affairs of a protected person or minor.
What is a Personal Representative or Executor?
A Personal Representative (Executor) is a person or company appointed by the court to administer the estate of the person who died.
What is a Trustee or Successor Trustee?
A Trustee is a person or company who manages assets held in a trust. A Successor Trustee takes over management of the trust when the current Trustee dies, resigns or becomes unable or unwilling to continue managing the Trust.
What is a Power of Attorney or POA?
A Power of Attorney is a legal contract between two or more individuals in which one party (principal) gives the other party (agent) authority to make decisions (medical, financial, etc.) on his/her behalf.
What are the costs and who pays for these services?
The Sun Valley Group services are billed on an hourly basis to our clients and the fees are paid through an individuals Trust or Estate. Fee schedules are available upon request.
