Peter Frenette, MBA - Chief Executive Officer Peter

Mr. Frenette is a Licensed Professional Fiduciary.  He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Finance from The University of Utah, a Masters in Business Administration from the W.P. Carey School of Management at Arizona State University, and is a Registered Guardian through the National Guardianship Foundation.  Mr. Frenette was previously the Claims Manager and Reinsurance Manager for the Medicaid Program in Arizona also known as AHCCCS, where he supervised the processing of 1 million managed-care claims per month and reinsurance to health plans of excessive medical loss.  In addition, he has managed the Phoenix office of Houlihan Advisors, a national consulting firm specializing in economic valuation and analysis for trust companies, banks, insurance companies and attorneys, and he was also a Senior Analyst with G.E. Capital Corporation where he developed computer models for analysis and funding loans.  Mr. Frenette is a past Board Member and Past President of the Arizona Fiduciary Association.  He is also a member of the Arizona Fiduciary Association, the National Guardianship Association and a Non-voting Constituent Member of the Arizona State Bar Elder Law & Mental Health Section and the Probate & Trust Section.

 

Heather Frenette, RN, MSN, CMC - Chief Operating Officer & Care Manager 

Heather Ms. Frenette is a Registered Nurse and Licensed Professional Fiduciary who focuses her practice on the care needs of elderly, disabled, and mentally ill persons.  She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Baylor University, a Masters of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington, and a Masters level Certificate in Gerontology from Arizona State University.  Ms. Frenette is also a Certified Care Manager (CMC) through the National Academy of Certified Care Managers.  Ms. Frenette is actively involved in the Western Region National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers as both a Board Member and an Officer from 2001-2009.  In 2006, Ms. Frenette was recognized as a Fellow of the Leadership Academy, a distinction awarded to those geriatric care managers with comprehensive experience. She has also received the Rose Kleiner Award for excellence and achievement in the field of Professional Geriatric Care Management.  As an advocate for the elderly, disabled, and mentally ill, Ms. Frenette believes that every person deserves a chance to live his/her life at the highest functional level in the least restrictive environment possible.  Ms. Frenette is a member of the Arizona Fiduciary Association, the Arizona Geriatrics Society and the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers where she has been on the Board of Directors for 2 years. She is also a Non-voting Constituent Member of the Arizona State Bar Elder Law & Mental Health Section and the Probate & Trust Sections, serving on the Executive Council for the Elder Law & Mental Health Section.

 

Liza Fromkes - Acting Estate Manager

Ms. Fromkes received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Performance from the University of Arizona. She has nine years of experience in finance, providing clients with creative solutions to help them establish long term financial goals. Previously, Ms. Fromkes held a position of a Trust Specialist with Johnson Bank where she was responsible for complex wealth management issues. Ms. Fromkes volunteers her time with local community theatres, and is a member of the East Valley Estate Planning Council.

 

 

Graham Thema, CQSW, MSW, ASW - Care Manager/Guardian 

GrahamMr. Thema joined The Sun Valley Group, Inc. in 2001.  He is a Masters prepared social worker with a liberal arts background.  His career spans two decades and two countries, Great Britain and the United States.  Born in England, he graduated with his Masters degree jointly from Nene College in Britain and the University of Wisconsin.  He is also a Certified Care Manager (CMC) through the National Academy of Certified Care Managers. Mr. Thema was further awarded his ASW, (approved social worker under the mental health act of Great Britain), the equivalent of the United States LCSW.  Mr. Thema has extensive experience in crisis intervention, mental health issues, and family counseling.  Upon moving to the United States in the late 1980's, Mr. Thema worked as a hospital social worker covering the Emergency Room with additional responsibilities in oncology and home health.  Mr. Thema is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.

Jennifer Murray - Estate Administrator

JenniferMs. Murray joined The Sun Valley Group, Inc. in 2006. She has a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Arizona State University and a Masters of Organizational Management from University of Phoenix.  She has ten years customer service, finance, banking, and fraud experience with Chase Cardmember Services.   Previously, Ms. Murray worked for the Town of Gilbert Police Department.

Jackie Sepulveda - Estate Administrator

JackieMs. Sepulveda is a Licensed Fiduciary and came to us from Maricopa County Public Fiduciary where she worked for four years as a Guardian Administrator.  She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Justice Studies and Master's Degree in Organizational Management.  Ms. Sepulveda is knowledgable in human service relations, social services, legal topics and mental health treatments.  Previously, she held positions as an Arizona Supreme Court Trainer for probation officers statewide, an Adult Probation Officer, and a Case Manager for both juveniles and adults within the Regional Behavioral Health Authority.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Katie Pesta - Estate Administrator

Ms. Pesta received her Bachelor of Arts from the Hugh Downs School of Human Communications and a Masters in Business Administration from the W.P. School of Business; both at Arizona State University.  She has five years finance and banking experience as both a Personal Banker and a Branch Manager for Wells Fargo Bank.  Previously, Ms. Pesta was a Compliance Administrator, responsible for ensuring the proper management of Probate and Estate matters for Wells Fargo Auto Finance.  Ms. Pesta is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors. 

Heather Winters Bull - Estate Administrator

Heather BullMs. Bull has fifteen years of experience in the fiduciary and trust business. She previously served as a Contract Probate Court Accountant for the Maricopa County Superior Court as well as Vice President of Certified Fiduciary Services, Inc. in Sun City. Ms. Bull holds a Bachelor of Arts from Northern Arizona University and has been a Supreme Court Licensed Fiduciary since 2001. Ms. Bull is currently a member of the Arizona Fiduciary Association Board of Directors, and has served as a Board Member of Human Service Professionals. She has been a lifetime supporter and volunteer for the Special Olympics. In 2009, Ms. Bull was the recipient of a Community Spirit Volunteer Award from Valley of the Sun School and Habilitation Center.


Debra Strecker, CNA - Care Management Assistant 

DebraMs. Strecker has been with Arizona Care Management since 2000.  She is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who is currently working towards a nursing degree.  Ms. Strecker has been working with the geriatric population since 1994. 

 

 

 

 

 

Julie Jones - Accounting Specialist

JulieMs. Jones has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Phoenix and has more than 15 years of experience in Accounting and Finance.  Her background includes working within Corporate, Public and Private business levels of Accounting.  Ms. Jones held a long-term position as Senior Accountant/Internal Auditor for a Nationwide Firm based in Tucson.

Michael Satre - Accounting Specialist

Mr. Satre has 15 years experience in customer service and financial related fields.  Previously, Mr. Satre held positions with Caremark, a  pharmacy benefits management company.  He also was a licensed Realtor and Office Manager for CPA Advantage Realty, LLC.  Mr. Satre is actively working towards his bachelors degree.

 

 

 

Talia Coon - Operations Administrator

Ms. Coon began with The Sun Valley Group, Inc. in 2008. She has an Associate in Applied Science focusing on Criminal Justice from Remington College and has worked in various legal and administrative roles over the past five years.  Previously, she worked as a legal assistant at the Weingart Law Firm.

 

 

 

 

Suzette Armijo - Community Outreach Liaison

SuzetteMs. Armijo began with The Sun Valley Group, Inc. in 2009. She is implementing a Community Outreach department to help educate the community about our services.  Ms. Armijo brings over 10 years marketing, advertising and public relations experience to our team.  She is a member of the National Private Duty Association and an advocate with the Alzheimer's Association as well as a committee member for Public Policy with the Desert Southwest Chapter.

 

 

Debra Saunders - Human Resources Administrator

DebraMs. Saunders received her Bachelor of Science in Management with an HR emphasis from Northern Illinois University.  She has over 20 years of experience in human resources and business administration with various service related companies.  Previously, Ms. Saunders owned her own non-medical home care business, where she provided area seniors with qualified, in home caregivers.  Ms. Saunders is Six Sigma Green Belt certified and is working toward Black Belt certification.

 

 

 

Lisa Thomas - Receptionist

LisaMs. Thomas began with The Sun Valley Group, Inc. in 2007. She has worked in accounting, customer service and various administrative roles for more than 17 years. Ms. Thomas started with Gowan Company and The Dune Company, Yuma's largest agriculteral firms, as the Accounting Assistant. Previously, she worked for Schwark, Vaughn and Perry, CPA's, Yuma's first accounting firm, as the Administrative Secretary.

In addition, we provide Care Management services through Arizona Care Management, a division of The Sun Valley Group, Inc.  Our Care Management staff works closely with our Fiduciary staff to provide full service Care Management and Fiduciary services.
